InnerMovement Wellness Center

Chiropractic care in Glendale

Chiropractic care addresses how your spine and joints move — and how that movement affects everything else. Whether you’re dealing with back pain, recovering from an injury, or navigating pregnancy, our chiropractors work to restore alignment and function rather than just relieving symptoms.

What to Expect

Chiropractic care here follows a clear arc. Here’s what each stage involves, so nothing comes as a surprise.

Depending on your case, your doctor may also recommend home care — ice, heat, specific stretches — or nutritional support.

1st Visit — Exam and Treatment

A health history, a full biomechanical exam, and your first adjustment. Posture analysis, range of motion, spinal nerve, muscle, and orthopedic testing — followed by a gentle, specific adjustment. Performed fully clothed. Allow a full hour.

2nd Visit — Report of Findings

Your doctor presents what the exam found: postural and movement imbalances, muscle spasm, nerve pressure, inflammation. You’ll get a diagnosis, a realistic prognosis, and a care recommendation — plus time to ask questions. Your second adjustment follows.

After That — Your Choice

Once your initial issue has resolved, you decide what happens next. Some patients stop. Others continue with periodic checkups. We’ll give you our honest recommendation and leave the decision to you.

No X-Rays on Your First Visit

We don’t take X-rays as a matter of routine. A thorough biomechanical exam gives us the objective information needed to diagnose and treat most chiropractic conditions — which means no unnecessary radiation and no unnecessary cost to you.

If you’ve had significant trauma, or if we suspect something more serious, we’ll refer you out for the appropriate imaging. That’s a clinical judgment, not a default.

How to Prepare

• Wear comfortable clothing you can move in — the exam and treatment are done fully clothed

• Arrive 15 minutes early so your paperwork is complete when the doctor is ready

Prenatal & Pediatric Chiropractic

Pregnancy changes how your body carries weight, often bringing low back pain, pelvic discomfort, and sciatica. Our Webster-certified chiropractors provide care designed for pregnancy—with tables and techniques adapted for a growing belly—and continue supporting you postpartum as your body recovers.

The Webster technique focuses on pelvic alignment and balancing surrounding ligaments and muscles. Certification requires advanced training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

We also see infants and children. Pediatric adjustments use very light pressure adapted to a child’s size and development, with parents present throughout.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does an adjustment hurt?

Most people find adjustments uncomfortable at most, not painful. You may hear a popping sound — that’s gas releasing from the joint, not bones cracking, and it isn’t a sign of anything going wrong. Mild soreness for a day or so afterward is common, similar to how you’d feel after a workout. If anything feels wrong during a visit, tell us and we’ll adjust the approach.

How many visits will I need?

There’s no standard number. It depends on what’s going on, how long you’ve had it, and how your body responds. Some people feel meaningfully better within a handful of visits; longer-standing problems generally take longer. We’ll give you a realistic estimate after examining you and reassess as we go — and if something isn’t working, we’d rather change course than keep going.

Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?

Chiropractic care is widely used during pregnancy, and our chiropractors are trained specifically in prenatal care with certification in techniques developed for pregnant patients. We use tables and positioning adapted for a growing belly.

There are situations where it isn’t appropriate, which is why we take a full history and coordinate with your OB or midwife when needed. If we have any concern, we’ll tell you and recommend checking with your prenatal provider first.

Is chiropractic safe for infants and children?

Pediatric adjustments look quite different from adult ones — very light pressure, adapted to a child’s size and stage of development. Parents stay present throughout.

If you have questions about whether care is appropriate for your child, call us and we’ll talk it through before you book. We’re also happy to coordinate with your pediatrician.

Does insurance cover chiropractic care?

Often, yes. We accept Medicare, specific PPO plans, workers’ comp, and personal injury/lien cases, along with FSA/HSA and cash. Coverage details vary by plan — call (818) 549-1300 and we’ll verify your benefits before your first visit so there are no surprises.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel, please allow 24 hours prior to scheduled appointment. We reserve the right to charge for no-show appointments or deny future scheduling.

Disclaimer

Tell us before your visit if you have the following: osteoporosis or a history of fractures, history of spinal surgery or spinal implants, blood-thinning medication, known vascular condition or history of stroke, recent significant trauma, new numbness, weakness, or loss of bladder or bowel control. These don’t necessarily rule out care — they change how we approach it.
