What We Help With

Low Back & Pelvic Pain

The most common complaint — as center of gravity shifts, the lower back takes on more load.

Sciatica During Pregnancy

Sharp or burning pain down one leg, often worse in the second and third trimesters.

Round Ligament Discomfort

Sudden pulling or catching along the sides of the lower belly, especially when standing or turning.

Rib & Upper Back Tension

Pressure under the ribs and between the shoulder blades as your ribcage expands.

Sleep Positioning

Difficulty getting comfortable, waking with hip or shoulder pain from side-sleeping.

Postpartum Recovery

Feeding posture, carrying, and the physical work of a body returning to baseline.

Care Throughout Pregnancy

First Trimester — Establishing baseline

Early visits let us document how your body moves before pregnancy changes it, so we can track what shifts.

Second Trimester — Weight shift begins

As your center of gravity moves forward, the lower back and pelvis absorb the change. This is when most people first feel it.

Third Trimester — Peak demand

The largest physical load, plus preparation for delivery. Visits often become more frequent here.

Postpartum — Recovery & feeding posture

Care doesn’t stop at delivery. Feeding, carrying, and recovery all place new demands on your back and shoulders.

What is the Webster Technique?

The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic approach developed for pregnancy. It focuses on the alignment of the pelvis and the balance of the surrounding ligaments and muscles, using gentle adjustments adapted to a pregnant body.

Certification comes through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and requires dedicated training beyond a standard chiropractic degree. Our chiropractors are Webster-certified — which is less common than you might expect, and worth asking about wherever you receive care.

After Baby Arrives

The physical demands don’t end at delivery — they change. Hours of feeding in the same position, carrying a growing baby on one hip, and a body recovering from nine months of load all place new strain on your back, neck, and shoulders. Postpartum care addresses that directly.

We also see infants and children. Pediatric adjustments use light pressure adapted to a child’s size and stage of development.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?

Chiropractic care is widely used during pregnancy, and our chiropractors are trained specifically in prenatal care — including certification in techniques developed for pregnant patients. We use tables and positioning adapted for a growing belly, and adjustments are modified accordingly. That said, there are situations where chiropractic care isn’t appropriate, which is why we take a full history and coordinate with your OB or midwife when needed. If we have any concern, we’ll tell you and recommend you check with your prenatal provider first.

When should I start prenatal chiropractic care?

There’s no required starting point. Some patients come in early, before symptoms appear, so we have a baseline of how their body moves. Others come when discomfort begins, often in the second or third trimester. Both are reasonable.

If you’re already in pain, that’s reason enough to be seen — waiting doesn’t make it easier to address. Call (818) 549-1300 and we’ll find you a time.

Do you see infants and children?

Yes. Pediatric adjustments use very light pressure, adapted to a child’s size and stage of development — it looks quite different from an adult adjustment. Parents are present throughout.

If you have questions about whether care is appropriate for your child, call us and we’ll talk through it before you book. We’ll also coordinate with your pediatrician where that makes sense.

Do you offer prenatal massage?

Yes, with positioning and pressure adapted for pregnancy. Prenatal massage is often used alongside chiropractic care — releasing the muscles doing the compensating tends to help adjustments hold longer. Let us know how far along you are when you book so we can prepare accordingly.
